Introducing IndiGG’s token - $INDI

Everything you need to know about INDI Token economics

This blog is aimed to familiarize our community with details about the INDI token and its distribution, token utility, and fundraise. 

Token Distribution 

$INDI will have a total supply of 1 billion tokens that will be distributed as follows:

The tokens will be used to balance out rewarding community involvement and maintain the long-term stability of the DAO. 

Early contributors

Early contributors include those who participate in the fundraiser for IndiGG

Pre-seed contributors will have 2.5% of their allocation released at TGE and 97.5% of token allocation locked for 1 year. After the lockup period is over the INDI tokens will vest linearly for two years. 

Seed participants will have 5% of their allocation released at TGE with 95% of their token allocation locked for 1 year. These tokens will vest linearly for two years after the lockup period. 

Those participating in the strategic round will have 5% of their allocation released at the launch with 95% of their token allocation vested in eighteen equal monthly after the TGE. 

We are doing an IEO on FTX where the community gets to participate in the public sale where the tokens are fully unlocked on day 0. This is to ensure that the community has advanced ownership in their access to the INDI governance token.

Community & Marketing 

These funds will be used to grow the community and support the marketing efforts of the guild. To build out a pan-India network of gamers the guild will look to create a grassroots-based movement to take the web3 games to the masses. 

These efforts will include scholar acquisition and conversion, retention, level up programs, Esports, growth by rewarding other games, DAO Contributors, Reserve, and much more. 

40% of INDI tokens are allocated for these efforts which will be distributed through various initiatives over a period of 6.5 years. 

Founding Team & Advisors

The founding team and our advisors are allocated 17% of the total tokens with an overall vesting period of 4 years with a one-year cliff.

DAO Treasury 

The IndiGG DAO treasury will hold 18.7% of the total allocation for future uses including token swaps for future NFT and game assets as well as operational initiatives that can include future strategic raised to expand throughout the subcontinent 

A 16-month lock will apply to these tokens after which they’ll be vested linearly over 52 months.

Release Schedule

As represented by the graph below, the whole 1 billion supply of INDI tokens will enter circulation over a six-and-a-half-year period. Please note that the final distribution schedule of community rewards may be altered via DAO proposals.

Token Utility

INDI token is a functional multi-utility token which will be used as the native governance token and economic incentive which will be distributed to encourage users to exert efforts towards contribution and participation in the ecosystem on IndiGG, thereby creating a mutually beneficial system where every participant is fairly compensated for its efforts. INDI token is an integral and indispensable part of IndiGG, because without INDI token, there would be no incentive for users to expend resources to participate in activities or provide services for the benefit of the entire ecosystem on IndiGG. Given that additional INDI token will be awarded to a user based only on its actual usage, activity, and efforts made on IndiGG and/or proportionate to the frequency and volume of transactions, users of IndiGG and/or holders of INDI token which did not actively participate will not receive any INDI token incentives.

1. The IndiGG ecosystem has deployed the INDI token, an ERC-20 token as the main token to govern the IndiGG DAO. The INDI token will unlock the entire IndiGG experience for the community. Whilst every community member can participate in the guild, community members who hold the IndiGG token get additional access to unique IndiGG benefits.

2. Given the nature of a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO), IndiGG aims to ensure that the INDI governance tokens end up with the Indian gaming community who can take an active role in future decision-making for the DAO. INDI token holders will be encouraged to take an active role in the governance of the DAO, especially as it relates what games the DAO participates in, the IndiGG esports program and the community rewards program.The IndiGG core team will focus on building the IndiGG community to a state where it is able to take more control of  individual decisions. This will be a phased decentralization of governance with the initial phase focussed on building and community rewards to ensure that consensus is reflective of the Indian gamers who commit their focus to IndiGG.

3. The IndiGG Token Holder Tournament will be a yearly tournament available only to IndiGG token holders. This tournament will be in addition to the many community based tournaments, where community tournaments will battle to earn INDI tokens, the Token Holder Tournament will be playing for a basket of NFT gaming assets from the IndiGG collection.

4. Vaults - A vault at IndiGG will represent a token rewards program for either engaging in a specific activity or for all of IndiGG’s activities. Each vault will have specific rules such that it can stipulate a lock-in period and/or a rewards escrow or vesting period in some cases.

5. Social utility - Post token generation event (TGE), IndiGG has a range of experiences available to those in the community that hold the INDI token. The initial experience is a dedicated token holder channel on the IndiGG Discord that is only accessible to INDI token holders. This channel will be where the IndiGG team will be as well as discuss current and future game partnerships directly with token holders, additionally the channel will also feature AMAs with prominent figures in the Indian gaming community.

6. INDI token will also have utility which will unlock access to different guild enablement tools built indigenously or incubated by IndiGG

Note: Please note that INDI token does not in any way represent any shareholding, participation, right, title, or interest in the Company, the Distributor, their respective affiliates, or any other company, enterprise or undertaking, nor will INDI token entitle token holders to any promise of fees, dividends, revenue, profits or investment returns, and are not intended to constitute securities in Panama, Singapore or any relevant jurisdiction. INDI token may only be utilised on IndiGG, and ownership of the same carries no rights, express or implied, other than the right to use INDI token as a means to enable usage of and interaction within IndiGG. The secondary market pricing of INDI token is not dependent on the effort of the IndiGG team, and there is no token functionality or scheme designed to control or manipulate such secondary pricing.

Community, Game development, and marketing programs & rewards

We’re planning to host a wide range of initiatives geared to make the IndiGG community one of the strongest in the play-to-earn scene ever. With 40% of INDI tokens allocated towards community purposes, we’ll be distributing 400,000,000 across five main programs.

Guild Expansion

Through our Guild Growth program, a long list of incentives that reward users who join IndiGG will be established. Rewards can be distributed for joining our Discord, performing specific actions, minting our guild badge, onboarding new members, and expanding our scholarship program to new regions within India. 

Level-Up

The Level-Up program has the widest scope of any of our community rewards programs. Level-Up is designed to incentivize the acquisition, engagement and retention of new community members to our guild. 

Players who participate in tournaments will also be able to earn rewards through this program. A wide range of additional initiatives will also be funded which will show thanks to IndiGG community members for their continued support. 

Game Growth

The Game Growth program will incentivize players in our guild to try new games as we expand our gaming partners. This will allow our scholars to diversify the games they play with us and maximize the early rewards they can receive for being involved. 

DAO Participation 

Members who actively participate in the IndiGG DAO may be rewarded through tipping or airdrops. Contributing as a community leader, full-time/part-time staff, and bounty programs are used to encourage DAO participation. 

Esports

Esports will be an essential part of IndiGG as we encourage players to actively participate in tournaments and competitive events. We plan to effectively promote and build an esports ecosystem along with sponsoring players and partnering with top esports partners. 

IndiGG investors 

IndiGG has previously completed a pre-seed round which saw $6M raised upon its completion. The round was led by Sequoia Capital India and Lightspeed Venture Partners.
